UFC 249 Live Stream Online: Justin Gaethje (replaces Khabib Nurmagomedov) vs. Tony Ferguson
MMA fans were expecting to see the UFC’s fourth pay-per-view battle of the year this April, which also featured some of the best stars in the MMA community. Sadly, the unbeaten lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov – who, in particular, beat Conor McGregor at UFC 229 to retain his title – was forced to step aside due to lock-down travel restrictions. Justin Gaethje quickly took his place in the fight against former temporary lightweight champion Tony Ferguson.
UFC249 was initially expected to take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, in California, but Dana White revealed on April 9 that UFC249 (and other planned events) have been postponed indefinitely under intensified scrutiny by ESPN and Gavin Newsom of California. UFC 249 is now scheduled for May 9th, the initial date planned for UFC 250.
2020 UFC fight schedule: Tony Ferguson vs. Justin Gaethje returns to action
In the lines of the sporting world, it appears like UFC is in the precipice when it comes to “usual” right in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. Last week Dana White revealed that UFC 249 Live Stream Online, which was initially intended for Brooklyn before expanding into California without a sponsor of the pandemic, starts with a new venue.
UFC has been ordered to stand down for the planned event on 18th April by its broadcast partners in Disney and ESPN, but White is sending several of the fighters initially expected for the card to Jacksonville, Florida for an MPV on the 9th May, along with some big surprises. In an interim lightweight championship bout, UFC 249 Live Stream Online Tony Ferguson vs. Justin Gaethje will headline. Henry Cejudo is also holding his bantamweight strap against Dominick Cruz, the former champion.
White has also confirmed that three events will take place in 8 days from the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in downtown Jacksonville and that the UFC will host activities after that date if no other venue is open. The president of the UFC has confirmed that “Battle Island” would be available for foreign fighters by June.
